How much involvement does your credit union want in the mortgage lending process?
With CU Members Mortgage, you make the choice based on the staff and resources you wish to make
available. We offer different programs with varying levels of credit union participation, and we
can also customize a program for your specific needs, blending the benefits to achieve your goals.
Allow CU Members Mortgage to handle nearly everything involved in the mortgage application process, conduct certain steps of the loan origination yourself, or employ your own mortgage staff to handle everything from origination to underwriting. In some cases, CU Members Mortgage can even staff your credit union with an on-site loan officer to increase sales and service to your members. Regardless of your choice, our Mortgage Ease Agreements help you find the perfect fit for your needs. Below is a brief description of our different agreements we have available. Mortgage Ease I provides residential mortgage loans to your members with the least involvement and expense to your credit union. Loans are made in accordance with and conformity to secondary marketing guidelines. Mortgage Ease II lets your credit union participate in the loan origination process by taking the loan application and conducting five origination functions for your members. This program is designed for credit unions that can devote a limited amount of staff to a mortgage program, and do not wish to incur the expense of a complete mortgage loan department. Your members apply for a mortgage online or at the credit union, allowing you to review the member's financials and cross-sell additional financial products. Mortgage Ease III is a Wholesale Lending partnership which lets your credit union handle all the functions of the origination process prior to underwriting. This program is designed for credit unions that can devote sufficient staff to operate a mortgage department within the credit union and lean to CU Members Mortgage for assistance with underwriting, closing, and servicing. Mortgage Ease IV is a Correspondent Lending Partnership which allows the credit union to be actively involved in the loan process as in the Mortgage Ease III partnership, however, the credit union is also responsible for closing and funding the loan. No two credit unions are alike. CU Members Mortgage makes sure your mortgage program is tailor made to meet your objectives.
